I’ve hosted over 10+ meetups for farcasters in NYC and this is my reaction every time I’m in the process of creating the group chat and farcaster randomly drops users and I have to doublecheck every single person on the list 🤬

Lots and lots of talking! When it’s more community based, it’s community bonding stuff. When it’s networking based, it’s more business related. It’s been really lovely for me to see real friendships, business partnerships, and many other connections all be made through meeting at my meetups 🥹

It's a bit unusual this Friday because I'm hosting it as a part of an initiative that Ted started called Farcaster Friday. Since there's no budget for extras like bar buyouts ($11,000 minimum), it'll feel more like a big group activity where people casually meet

summer solstice I capped it at 50 because of space limitation. FCNY#2 I capped it at 100 but we had over 500 people apply to join - just didn't have enough funds to get a larger space :/ There will be probably something like a large conference here in NYC soon and that'll probably bring in a bunch of the folks here IRL at the same time!
