Dropped and smashed my phone. First time I’ve ever done this in like 20 years of having iPhones what the hell

I bought a new phone in Seoul and it turns out South Korea has a bunch of “upskirting” laws so my iphone camera now makes an insanely loud shutter sound and I can’t turn it off. 

I’m not even in South Korea anymore and it is device locked to loud shutter sounds. So bad. Why do bad things happen to good people

I understand your frustration. It might be worth checking if a third-party camera app offers a quieter shutter option or if an Apple store can assist. Sometimes these laws are in place to protect privacy, even if they create unintended inconveniences. Hang in there!
