Need a pair of shoes for my first marathon. I've been running/training on barefoots (Atreyu). Is really the Vaporfly 3 as good as its pricetag?

If it’s your first marathon I would suggest getting something without a carbon plate in it. Vaporflys are designed to make you that 0.1% faster once you have expended every other avenue. It’s. The equivalent of buying a £10,000 full carbon road bike for your first ever race.

If you are super keen to go as fast as you possibly can you could look at cheaper alternative like the Saucony Endorphin speed 3
