So I'm scrolling through my social media apps in the Beijing airport while on a 8 hour layover and the only one that's not blocked is farcaster! Yay! I know what I'm doing for the next six hours!

If chains are focused on specific types of applications (defi vs gaming chains), some modules might not be desired or useful on both! Recovery keys are a pretty basic case, but modules for session keys and subscriptions you'd want to permission as granularly as possible so the chain separation is actually a benefit!

Just tried a web3 recommended as one of the best examples of a dapp and it bounced me back to my wallet multiple times for each action! This is crazy!! Someone else said it was kinda fun? I had a broken controller once that would open the menu every few minutes, it reminds me of that...

Saw that AMC had a bitpay option for buying tickets. I had a wallet all setup and ready to go but instead I get redirected and asked to enter my email to sign up for theirs? If this is the future of crypto payment experience I'd rather pay in cash at the theater! Fragmentation fail!

The more I compare web3 tech to past systems the more I like comparing it to NoSQL rather than focusing on the serverless aspects. It has lots of hype and there are plenty of applications where it's been misapplied, but for some places it's a great fit! Much more realistic than the 'replaces everything' rhetoric!

I don't understand how new L1s are launching without massive financial backing, trying to bootstrap one requires that you are either entirely centralized or that there's value that's not worth attacking?

Trying out connecting to people with this. I love another option to segment the kinds of news and people I interact with. I hope this will be another good place where I can tell the kind of person just by what options they use for communication!
