Does anyone have a hiring manager's perspective on coding bootcamps? A friend is interested in attending one, and I have no idea how to help him assess them.

My $0.02:

1) The instructors matter hugely. Check out who will be teaching the course.

2) He should drop the course (for some partial refund) if he is not “getting it” within the first 4 weeks or so.

I saw bootcamps completely change students lives. I also saw many students wasting their money and time. It largely depends on the student.
