The practice of bridging between protocols today is absurd. The user friction is comparably frustrating to getting booted from the internet in 1997 when my home phone rang. Something has to change for mainstream adoption to occur. Who here is going to fix this?

All the major L2 ecosystems have some version of shared liquidity coming. Op stack has the Superchain, Polygon has agglayer, etc. Those should at least give you a single chain experience within their cloud of chains. You have decent bridge aggregation already, but new solutions like Espresso... 1/2

Are aiming to take that a lot further, ideally enabling instant cross chain swaps. I think the solution is going to be emergent, by a combination of actors creating pieces that can play together to abstract this from users. In the end we may still have hurdles of varying size between ecosystems, but fluid internally.

I think. We'll have "progressive" detail in apps, where things like slippage and bridging costs are rolled into a single "fee" so people don't get rekt traversing the cryptosphere but the full pathing / detail can be seen in an advanced tab. 1/2

Cow has a model that probably works for this where they submit what the user wants to do and solvers propose solutions. This is the same, just a lot bigger and more complicated. But offline solvers can crank out a solution and give it back to apps/wallets to execute. 2/2
