OpenSea has received a Wells notice from the SEC threatening to sue us because they believe NFTs on our platform are securities. We're shocked the SEC would make such a sweeping move against creators and artists. But we're ready to stand up and fight. This is a move into uncharted territory. By targeting NFTs, the SEC would stifle innovation on an even broader scale: hundreds of thousands of online artists and creatives are at risk, and many do not have the resources to defend themselves. In addition to standing our own ground, we're pledging $5M to help cover legal fees for NFT creators and devs that receive a Wells notice. Every creator, big or small, should be able to innovate without fear. I hope the SEC will come to its senses sooner rather than later, and that they'll listen with an open mind. Until then, we'll stand up and fight for our industry. Onwards 🌊⛵️

Anyone else got this problem? I get the abi from my compiled smart contract. I have a mint() function without returning any value. I try to call it using wagmi's useWriteContract() but...nothing. Zero. Nada. After hours of debugging it turns out that wagmi is not correctly pucking up the function without an explicit empty array in the output: key of the function abi. Leaving it here in case: -1 Im doing something very wrong and I would like to know. -2 Someone else is having the same problem

Too many times we hear buzzwords being thrown around in Web3… For example… what is Chain Abstraction?? It simply means that users will NEVER have to “select” a chain when connecting their wallet BUT even more importantly they WON’T see fragmented token balances across chains

My take on FC’s unspoken etiquette after 20+ months here: - Debate ideas, not people. Never engage in ad hominem attacks. Don’t let your ego take things personally. Everyone must leave feeling smarter, not angrier. - Make a genuine effort to steelman opposing views before replying. Find your own blind spot, even if buried deep. Assume good and sincere intentions in others. - Take this as an experimental lab to get to the truth together, rather than to prove anyone wrong. Treat it as a PvE game, not Squid Games. What else?
