there's a lot of spammy BD on crypto telegrams. although it can get overwhelming, I try to reply with a soft no to everyone, instead of ignoring them. Takes very little effort with a text expansion but provides some courtesy and a bit of useful feedback

I wouldn’t do that. I would say it increases your risk. If they’re serious they will find you on another channel and or through a third-party that is trusted.
