I want to try the book. Thought the film's concept and certain scenes were awesome. 

Saying that, the build up of tension never really got a satisfying conclusion or release. 6/10

That’s how @subtlerebel.eth felt, that ending was actually perfect for me, not in an enjoyable way, it cemented that being one of the scariest movies I’ve seen in awhile. The zombie kid just needed to find an external source of comfort and satisfaction which is disturbing in how accurately it represents the kids today

I loved the ending but it was unexpected to not have closure. (But my fave movie is Casablanca so I like loose ends—leaves room for interpretation and imagination)
