got my nice mic set up again—new XLR cable, new arm, new shock mount—but it's so sensitive that I could actually spend a SM7B's worth of money on acoustic treatment for the room

still, it's nice seeing it back at the battlestation instead of tucked in a box

ooo, don't really have much of an arsenal — i've had my eye on the Shure SM7b for a long time, but it's pricey. the mic in the pic is an old condenser mic i've used for recording vocals for the last... wow, ten years? but i need a dynamic broadcast mic, probably aiming for the Shure SM57 right now, at least to start
