honestly there's very little Spotify can't do for media. it's just not strategic for them to do it now. onchain curation and promotion are the only things that make sense. artists desperately want to know their fans and directly message them.

i remember in the early, early days that the vision was Spotify to be an amorphous experience. you spent more time connected to the brand than any one app or device. seems to have worked well for playback, but not so much the users. listeners don't know whom they're listening to! artists don't know their audience!

I think the community connection with holders of music NFTs is something really special for web3 artists. Wish more artists would get that.

agreed, and artists need better managers that take longer, more productive visions into their art. @holly and @mat have been way ahead of their time in creating that.
