Thrilled to share some exciting news! After thorough discussions, we’ve secured an opportunity to bring the iconic ⌐◨-◨ to life as a permanent public artifact at CAFA, China’s top art university (ranked 15th globally in the 2024 QS Art & Design rankings).

I'm not sure how students will like this. It blocks the flow in the courtyard and is giant bright object in the middle of an otherwise neutral space. When anyone daydreams out the window this will be glaring at them.

Haha, It’s interesting to wonder how this CC0 piece might influence their future artistic creations and spark some unexpected inspiration.😄

I think it will only spark resentment and looks incredibly out of place. If Nike placed a large swoosh in bright red in the middle of a school courtyard, blocking sightlines and traffic, I don’t think students would be incorporating it into their designs.

imo public art can often initially met with resistance (i.e Eiffel) Esp when appear unconventional. Some see is as disruptive, others embrace it as something that invigorates the space. Beauty of art, it can spark a range of reactions. That diversity of opinion is what makes it powerful/interesting
