We're not pricing the value of Farcaster taking off. Farcaster is asking people to do normal stuff (use social media), but provides extra benefits bc it's crypto-native. Powerful onboarding tool. Question: How do you frame the benefits of Farcaster relative to traditional SM apps in normie-friendly language?

Let's do a mental experiment and not say "privacy" or "decentralization". These aren't always immediate concerns for some people. What problem does Farcaster solve that's a massive pain point for SM users *today*? Does it solve the problem because crypto, or a non-crypto app (e.g., Bluesky/Mastodon) can solve it?

Gonna tag @notfloris & @macbudkowski who are some of the biggest Farcaster users I know. Oh, and the man himself: @dwr.eth. Need to do research before I start shilling Farcaster everywhere. Also, it's an attempt to connect Farcaster to something I should personally care about (not something I was told to care about).

"You should care about decentralization" and "you should care about privacy" often feel like guilt-gripping and shaming. It also comes across as paternalistic. "We know what you should want". Feels like we should connect with immediate needs (e.g., wanting a better feed) before layering on privacy/decentralization.

The vibes is get with Farcaster can be described as ‘onchain vibes’. The way a frame or the action buttons allow me to do onchain stuffs with minimal clicks, receiving NFTs or sending tokens in an instant are so awesome! This is what nonchainers will feel and what will help the understand through experience! Farcaster getting ready for the masses! 🫶🏼
