If you want real customers and you would use your product, then just be yourself on the call. If you swear, swear, if you’re polite, be polite, if you wear suits, wear a suit, just be you. If you’re not you, and you get the sale, the customer sucks, you bought them, or the product sells itself in which case, good job. The other two are going to zero

Uhmmm I see where you’re coming buttt while being authentic is important I feel there is also some need to adapt to different situations as they come and customers. Been yourself is good but don’t you think there is also need for you to balance out staying true to yourself and being mindful of professional context and customers you’re engaging with….

to an extent, for sure. We have more than one favorite food, you’ve got a few ways you’re likely comfortable and feel yourself at. Sitting in. Bank diligence meeting is not a me thing, but I can still find a way to true to myself and be successful in the meeting. Some aspects of how I do that won’t fit some model that says the way to be successful in that setting is to be X,Y,Z. I’m simply saying don’t follow a model that isn’t you, find and follow your model.
