Wow I havent opened up this app in like 4 months and this is the first thing I see. So relevant. I’m on a board where the other members also think this is controversial. It’s mind blowing and I feel like I’m dealing insane people. I want people incentivized for performance.

Yeah I don’t really get it. It’s almost as if none of these people have ever thought critically about how to create the best performance or outcomes. If we compared outcomes in sport vs outcomes in business, I think we know which domain produces more exceptional outcomes and that’s not because one is a game and the other is not, they’re both games we just pretend the business game is something else when it’s not

Couldn’t agree more. If I’m unable to persuade my colleagues to change their minds this is something I’m seriously considering stepping down over. I don’t want to spend my time with folks worshipping mediocrity
