You are making a good point here. This could result in users leaving more comments instead of likes 🤔 I know for sure I should stop liking every reply others make to me, especially when I end up replying right back.

It’s probably a good idea. Now I’m only going to like casts that are truly deserving or ones that I would like to bookmark for later. This might turn likes into bookmarks unless the storage model is redesigned so that we buy storage for reactions separately.

Up until now, I used the like to acknowledge I’ve read or seen/support the cast, which certainly can be superfluous at times. Do we know if likes factor into the algorithm for exposure of a cast?

Don’t think so because WC home feed is supposed to be ranked by chronological algo but maybe things have changed. Other clients may be doing that. But likes do matter for the “trending” algo.

I just liked every cast in this thread because I’m a rebel, a punk, and because no algorithm is going to control my actions. ✊ And because it’s a small price to pay for spreading joy. And also, I haven’t had to actually spend any real money. Thanks Dad. I mean Dan. I dare you guys to not like this one 😈
