One misconception I see about spam labeling: "I'm a real human. I'm not a bot."

Claiming "I'm not a bot" doesn't change the quality of your content. If you're farming replies and not being thoughtful, that's spam.

And saying "Oh, I was just hoping to make some money, I'll do better in the future" doesn't work. Because every spammer will say the same thing.

It's not hard to not be spammy. Just cast a little less, be a little more thoughtful.

can we give everyone a second chance now that they know why they’re in spam?

there are over 1600 users in spam, half probably don’t know why they’re in it.

i’m a new user, been here for 3 months and i have never been in spam, but i understand how it feels to be unseen.

i’m a nobody and my opinion probably doesn’t count here but please give them a fresh start.

It would make sense to give the person a known indication of their status and an expiration timer. Make it like a penalty in hockey. To steel man the human-bots, they’re just going where the value is aligned in the system, which could be misconstrued as a dig at farcaster and team, but it’s not that either. Turns out this is all hard as fuck and I bet humans being spam or bots also don’t want to do act that way.

just send them to spam box for a period of time, a week or 2 seems smart.
