One misconception I see about spam labeling: "I'm a real human. I'm not a bot."

Claiming "I'm not a bot" doesn't change the quality of your content. If you're farming replies and not being thoughtful, that's spam.

And saying "Oh, I was just hoping to make some money, I'll do better in the future" doesn't work. Because every spammer will say the same thing.

It's not hard to not be spammy. Just cast a little less, be a little more thoughtful.

can we give everyone a second chance now that they know why they’re in spam?

there are over 1600 users in spam, half probably don’t know why they’re in it.

i’m a new user, been here for 3 months and i have never been in spam, but i understand how it feels to be unseen.

i’m a nobody and my opinion probably doesn’t count here but please give them a fresh start.

i got flagged as a spammer ... been here for more than 5 months, is it a crime to respond "gm" to gm post made by my favorite big account?? or is it a crime to interact with the big accounts when they cast something really interesting. it just sucks tbh

being labeled as spam would be the greatest hit to my ego because I already don't matter IRL, and then I get told I don't matter online either :/

That's a good point from a kind heart. People should know if they're going the wrong way. There should a way like a warning or something to let us know and help us adjust our behavior inside FC. 
Bot or not action helps but it's not official and probably uses a different LM.

it also happened to me, even though I have commented correctly, I mean according to what they posted, until now I don't know how the spam system works.

It would make sense to give the person a known indication of their status and an expiration timer. Make it like a penalty in hockey. To steel man the human-bots, they’re just going where the value is aligned in the system, which could be misconstrued as a dig at farcaster and team, but it’s not that either. Turns out this is all hard as fuck and I bet humans being spam or bots also don’t want to do act that way.
