I think just us. IMHO coexistence/transformation dreams are rooted in a reticence or inability to extrapolate a future that is so disagreeable. It is why most people did nothing to prepare for covid when sufficient information made it clear that it would be a global pandemic.

That’s called normalcy bias, this is the effect where you stay calm in the face of impending doom because you can’t fathom the distortion in your expected reality vs realized reality Reports of humans sitting comfortably in their seats while the plane is on fire around them

+1 But to be fair, I might sit there comfortably as well. If the plane is on fire, it's out of my hands, and I might choose to spend the few last moments in my thoughts. Part of me feels like I am doing a similar thing right now.
