You’re gonna create a backend for websocket chat. 

Do you go:
- Bun
- Rust
- Zig
- Go

I know typescript so Bun seems smartest, but I’ve worked with Rust for other things and enjoyed it. 

Though also down with learning something else. Agh.

Took me one day to go from zero messaging backend, to functional websocket demo using bun and typescript. Took longer to go to production but that was my fault for not just doing it vs talking about it

I know the feeling. Just do the known one now, and spend more time on the part that could cause you to need to do the refactor. It’s not like refactors are that hard these days, more just tedious but at least you get to reason about something as the demands are relevant

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m thinking too. Already an expert at TS, I know enough Rust to get dangerous. 

Think I’m worrying too much about long term future and needing a refactor to something more performant. But that’s a pipe dream of gaining users anyway ;)
