Not really, since a reply is counted and chatting in channels you spend a lot of time in is pretty natural.

Probably it’s a me problem. I don’t like to spend time in channels or on social so a thing that reminds me to do that is by nature a negative to me

Ahhhh, then 100% I can understand that. No one likes pressure to do something they don't want to. Still don't see the value of the streak for you then, but if you are interested in growing your followers its a good signal that you are maintaining and contributing to it some capacity. 

May I suggest going to an old cast that on one interacts with and just replying with an emoji there?

Ha! That’s a funny hack to make it continue. Maybe it’s weird that I’m here at all, I don’t think about follower count or trying for it, I just need a place to put my thoughts that doesn’t require much formality, like a blog post

Yeah, I think I just wish it wasn’t considered interesting enough to be a game. There’s definitely utility in social, but focusing on social feels a lot more like navel gazing.

I suppose if I were to take the other side of my feeling that it’s a low value function, WC is essentially a reference build of all the social primitives based on the FC protocol. There are plenty of valid use cases beyond just generic social that could use the primitive of a streak

Yeah, you shouldn't let something like this get in your way. But like every blog you don't want it to look abandoned. Streaks are just a simple signal that is very much alive and worth checking in on.

So, now if I'm really not feeling it I just go to the same cast and cast something stupid and go on with my day. 😂  WC is a game, once we know a rules we can play it like one. ☮️
