Not sure I get what you mean by more users on here. It’s clear some bright minds and ethereum advocates are in this little corner away from the main stage… resulting in less proliferation of ETH and the cool things going on within the ecosystem. There’s now a lower ceiling for amplification and chance for more eyes to see what’s going on. On top of that less people defending ETH publicly. FC is great but has disconnected ETH community for wider audience crypto discussions. My opinion the separation caused by FC could be a net negative for Ethereum in early stages of L1 mindshare and public perception.

@dwr.eth what’s your take on the idea that farcaster has stolen the voices of Ethereum away from the public square that is X/twitter, which in turn has caused public sentiment to decline.

I get that perspective but there is almost no benefit to playing bracket game vs a sportsbook. Just trying to think of ways that will let this grow outside of the small pocket of fc users.

In that case it presents same problem as ncaat. Mavs were +1600 and if you purchased them when playoffs started you’ll see a fraction of what a sportsbook would yield. I get it’s a different game but as much benefit to outweigh playing this vs trad sports book

Currently 220 shares pays 140k To buy that many shares atm it costs ~25k Degen. If there was a mechanism to zero out loser's value and prop up remaining teams, we'd have a more accurate "cash out" value of shares.

Idea for these winner take all pools... Once a team is eliminated, the value zero's out. Seeing issue where there is a lot of "dead" value being held in teams eliminated, suppressing the potential value of those still with a chance. Mavs are +190 to win it all and nearly +500 on bracket game at current prices.
