I think part of why it feels bad is that both silence and disagreement and agreement all suck. If others agreed then it wouldn't need to be said, it's not info. If no one responds it has no influence If someone disagrees it tends to feel like they are against you

yeah I think u have a point here. At least all of the engagement shows that everybody cares intensely.
