I previously thought they were going to get us closer than I do now. GPT-4 being so much bigger, and yet still quite dumb has convinced me.

I think it's more likely that there's another level of GAN that we're missing. Like an LLM which is an input into an explicit model, which gives feedback, etc.

Yeah, AGI and LLMs don’t even occupy the same galaxy. Light years apart, on a fundamental principles level.
