Saw this on the bird app earlier but trust this community for the facts:

What’s better at this point, Apple Maps or Google Maps?

Apple maps *still* doesn't do a good job indicating when you're about to need to turn. Google does a little zoom when your turn is next, but with Apple I've missed so many turns because I can never tell if it's *this* turn or the *next* turn.

I haven't looked it up but I suspect that little zoom is patented by Google
