agreed. if the farming results in sustainable value accruing to the protocol then i think its win win. easier said than done

yeah i feel that too. i think the framing is wrong. it should be "earn EVEN MORE for being loyal". anything blocking exit is sus

i dont have any data to back up this idea. just genuinely curious. transactions being onchain means you can do shit like this. whether or not you *should* is a different question. in a competitive market, isn't cannibalizing your competitor good?

same. i've flown first class on emirates and cathay numerous times—which is many 10s of thousands of dollars worth of travel—for a few hundred bucks, all from optimizing cc spend and work travel

assume the liquid token contained an immutable contractual right to present and future cash flows of the protocol

yeah airlines too. you can do a "status transfer" but only once, and it requires approval

the idea is to trade cash money + future upside for maximum loyalty. ride or die and win

what if the scale was shifted? monthly active usage with default 1x rewards = 100%. opt-in and get 2x, 200% rewards (silly i know, but people can be silly sometimes)

how would you feel about a product that rewarded you with liquid tokens for using it, but every time you used a competitor's product, it divided future reward distributions by 50%? idea #2: same as above but opt-in. earn 1x rewards by default or 2x for putting a ring on it

i think your point applies equally as well to patronage models. creators have earned ~$1.3m on hypersub the past ~18mo. we've earned ~$25k from fees and another ~$40k from grants. very little speculation. default dead
