In crypto everyone should be spreading the message "Who gives a flying fck." Someone needs to force Apple's hand and it sure isn't the bought and paid for US government. I get why Apple is doing it but we should be on the side of Europe instead of Apple in this. Olympic level mental gymnastics to... Oh, this is memes.

A great comment on this article: https://www.macrumors.com/2024/01/25/ios-17-4-alternative-app-marketplaces-eu/ I wish all the “free market capitalists” on X would recognize a monopoly when they see one. It might be an L but at least the socialist EU is trying to enforce a free market, when the US gave up.

Smh Each app gets 1m installs ‘free’ per year, and ends up being cheaper than before But if you exceed 1m installs per year, then you get screwed over with a €0.50 charge per install

This was in retaliation for the EU forcing the sideloading of apps/marketplaces Rare EU win for OS and crypto. US still locked to app store :(
