my follow/unfollow algo:

if profile has ⬇️ following and ⬆️ follower counts then unfollow, else follow

my theory is that people who don’t follow very many but themselves have a lot of followers are probably popular on the bird app and used to the culture there and so less likely to engage here. diva energy 

I would fit this algo but was NOT that kind of bird app user. The vibe here is different enough that I’ve been slower to follow folks

On followers: Not popular or interesting enough over the last 15 years there, starting fresh here as a founder in this space draws more attention I guess.
