i really enjoyed the discussion about distribution and the idea of which signals matter in deciding if content is interesting or not. which got me thinking about the power badge a bit since that's a big factor in distribution today my current model is that the power badge is warpcast's perspective of users that produce interesting content on the network we know the power badge algorithm was seeded with an initial set of accounts, so what if everyone had their own version of the power badge which is seeded with the people that they follow? that way an account that maybe doesn't have a power badge in my network could have a power badge in your network, which kinda ties into what @nonlinear.eth was saying about one man's trash being another man's treasure i feel like this could help better match the supply and demand for different types of content than a single objective power badge cc @dwr.eth

this is very similar to what @sahil is doing with @openrank channel rankings. would be cool if this could be surfaced in warpcast

yes, few ways we're tackling this: - personalized graph to show 'for you' feed (not filtered by priority mode/power badge) - channel rankings to rank users based on activity within the channel only. your rank in /memes can be super high, but quite low in /founders. these rankings can be used with tools like @jtgi to decide 'who gets to post' in a channel. - channel feeds that are based on ordering of casts based on relevance and quality. this takes into account not only the cast author and their ranking, but also the rankings of those who interacted with the cast. can be used by any client with support from @neynar. this helps decide 'how the content gets ranked and prioritized' within a channel feed. h/t @jtgi @rish and @nonlinear.eth for helping identify these pain points and tag teaming for solutions.
