where would you want to see this chart go? political debate tends to be this tiresome thing where one tribe shouts "good! more!" and the other "bad! less!" harder question is what's the right amount & why?

hard to answer without first aligning on the role of government in society? the good-more camp tends to view role of gov as: security + services. the bad-less camp tends to view role of gov as security only. many disagreements and tribal alliances are downstream of this imo
