She is also the most successful Solo Artist in British history to have over 50 million sales with 110 music albums. She was born into a Yoruba Ethnic from West Africa. She is an English singer, songwriter, and actress known as the lead singer of her eponymous band. She has been credited as one of the most successful British female artists in history and is often recognised as an influence on contemporary music.
