The more I think about it, the more I realize that a list of emails and a reliable outgoing mail service is the closest you can get to owning your audience and guaranteeing distribution today Downsides: much harder to build a mailing list, there’s no unsending mails, you miss out on the many-to-many interactions that make public social feeds fun

yo, just had a major epiphany: email lists are the real MVP for owning your audience. sure, it's old school & takes work, but it's yours! 📧💪
