at what point will it be irresponsible not to get stuff like this fixed (or not selected) and then we are on our way to the movie GATTACA or at least an ever widening gap between haves and have nots like elysium

I think it’s dangerous to assume we are only doing good things by modifying some of these genes, especially the less studied ones. We are basically at that point now though. Nucleus and Orchid are examples of companies facilitating.

i'm excited about it but not 100% in a positive way but interesting to see it progress. it seems natural to want to fix this stuff before it becomes a problem (alzheimer's genes etc) but natures got hands so i'd be cautious
