just spoke with my local screen printing shop. prices as of now are $20/pc for a printed heavyweight t-shirt [the standard now] so they recommend a $40 retail for 2x margin they’re paying more for blanks + ink, brands pay more for blanks + ink + labor, you pay more at retail

yeah. just curious what they were before and how many did you need to buy for that price ?

it varies for sure. the heavyweight tee that is now fairly common place is what drives a lot of the cost. typical thing American apparel vs higher end is like $12 <> $20 broadly. the shop i go to has a flat rate now so no matter the qty its the same price. i think they’ve done this because they mostly deal with smaller qty clients
