“We are all ready for lunch, aren’t we?” the guide bot said. The group murmured approval, especially Young. “As stated earlier, we will be shadowing a group to see what the midday rituals were like. These rituals took on a variety of forms, but we can’t join all of them at once. We will have a quick tour and then we can decide on our own nourishment alongside the shadow group.” “We?” asked Willy. The bot was silent for a few seconds and then resumed. --- From 'The Philistines' episode, "Corporate Park, Part 6: Lunch" Now up on my blog site.

'The Phlistines' returns from hiatus... new episode: The Ball, Part 2: Things You Can't Hide “Who are you?” Willy asked the sparkling spectrous figure. “I am a friend,” the figure said. “Why should I believe you?” Eddie asked. “I understand why you in particular, Edmund, should be doubtful,” the figure responded. “We have something for you in particular…,” the figure continued.

"The cruise ship off the coast of Alaska was the perfect place to watch the world end. The night was dark, moonless and perfectly still. It was after the blackout hour and every star could be seen. The bright streaks of the warheads re-entering the atmosphere held a certain sublime beauty. As did the interceptors which came up to meet them." From 'The Philistines' episode...'Major Tom' '“Why is he floating?” Young asked. “Did the plating malfunction?” Young stared at the moving images on the wall of Willy’s dorm-pod. This was another one of Willy’s old “music videos”. The trio had the day off. Eddie, as usual, went off to hit the local party scene without the others. “They didn’t have gravity plating back then...this was pre- Collapse, the A-C-M papers wouldn’t be published for decades. This was the largest of the old Earth stations. People in orbit just floated around like it was nothing.'

From 'The Philistines' episode, 'Retch' 'Thank god Evan was asleep in the backseat. It took Perspect roughly ten minutes or so to stop retching. The battle had been over for a few days, Perspect guessed. The leftovers from that blocked the road. He briefly considered rolling over them. Practical matters overruled respect for the fallen. After the beaten up paths, Perspect feared his tires would blow out if he ran straight through the remains. He was forced to clear a path for the car. Fifty miles into this and already in disputed territory. Tears rolled down his face. He brought his son into this. Alliance or Union, none of this mattered at the moment. This trip was taking longer than expected. How much spare fuel did he have left? Would the car need repairs? What happens if a tire did blow out? Perspect estimated that he was about two or three days from St. Louis at his current rate.'
