I took a photo of Iggy Pop. The funny thing about photographing Iggy is that I did a whole shoot with him for the company that made the vest he is wearing and I have never had anyone be more controlling of their image. I had so many nice shots he wouldn't let me us because he didn't like the way he looked in them. After the shoot there was a party to launch the vest collab, and a bunch of bands played. Iggy introduced them, but I wasn't allowed to take any photos of him with the mic because they didn't want it to look like he was actually performing. I took one shot with my 35mm and didn't include it in the coverage. I am posting it for the first time now because 1) It's been so long and 2) I don't work for that client anymore so what are they gonna do? Maybe when he dies I will post some of the photos from the actual shoot, although it's entirely possible that he is immortal.

Great story, been involved in a few projects over the years like this. It never feels good when you can't share, especially when you got great shots. 📸

Yeah it's the worst. I shoot a lot of nudes and I always take down that stuff for people if they change their mind later, and I have so many photos I love that I will never be able to do anything with because the model got a new job later in life and doesn't want them to find out about her photos.

sorry to ask but if they sign a sort of statement, are they allowed to change their mind later?

No, but my personal morality wouldn't publish photos that people don't want online.
