Topic of the day in /sense Online friendship. ▫️ Do you believe in real friendships that started online? Of course, although I think it's more difficult to maintain them over time. In the end, everyone has their own lives, and not being able to see each other and make plans together makes the relationship less solid. ▫️ Have you ever had an online conversation that turned out to be deeper than the one you had in real life? I'd say yes. What do you think @hankmoody ? 😜 ▫️ What are the benefits of online friendships and what are the challenges? The benefits are that you can contact them at any time, although you can actually do that with your other friends as well. The biggest disadvantage is not being able to share moments like going for a walk, going out to dinner, giving each other a hug... As an experience, I have to say that FC has given me connections with people that would never have been possible in real life 😊

Online friendship, when it's not subject to speculation, is just as good as a real friendship. It creates a kind of platonic love (in a good way). If both parties are willing, this friendship can be as deep and lasting as any other!
