The first goal is to be scalable, so Kafka. And tried and tested tech are better: I want people to adopt my project and use it confidently. I'm just afraid that Kafka will be cumbersome and I really wanted to test Iggy (https://iggy.rs/) in the wild!

I fail on the autonomous and ambiguous part... I don't see how I can work well without clear directions and overview of the problem. I also see a lot of value working on the same problems with other engineers because it allows you to challenge the ideas of each other and avoid traps. It's cool you're hiring tho, good luck!

I actually intended to rewrite farseer (my custom hub) to support message streaming instead of my awful plugin system. The goal was to decouple data streaming and data transformation so farseer does one thing, extremely well and fast ! I don't know if it's relevant now that hub are going to be rewritten in Rust and you're already on the case! That's why I want in with the project ahaha.

https://github.com/noctisatrae/farseer - far from perfect, but I already built something like that in Go back when I had much less knowledge. If you need any help or contributors I'd be happy to write some code ehehehe.

If I understand, you're sending components to React Native through a stream, allowing them to be updated in real-time when they are subscribed to a sort of message queue ? Do they come into text format or something React Native can directly render ? Would it be possible to make a live updating graph for token prices? Streaming a rich <svg> component (or anything easily renderable on React Native) to the app so you can see the graph updating in real time?

How can you guarantee the structure of the data to use it reliably at runtime? Did you define a scheme of what you needed an they gave it to you?

Also makes it so hard for contributors to pick up your project and work on it if before building they can't install any dependencies (looking at you CMake) That's why I love Go & Rust, they make the build process much easier by default and allow you to scale well if you need the advanced features...

This is impressive, how are you solving this problem? Are you using something like an abstract class to implement a provider for Blockhead's own API ? I strongly believe that being able to use multiple providers relatively easily is the key to make an app more stable (not tied to an API). The problem I ran into doing that was that in special RPC Calls, they often use proprietary prefix to differentiate from the rest (I think the info & data structure are not mutualized too)
