I took a break from alcohol in September and found an unexpected health improvement. Now I don’t want to go back—even though I do miss it. There is social pressure everywhere to drink, but I’m done. I know too many people who lost families, marriages, health and even lives to alcohol. It’s legal, so we don’t talk about it as negatively as we probably should. Might be delicious and fun, but no amount is good for you. If you're a person looking to make any other kind of change in your life, career, relationship, etc, try quitting alcohol and see what else gets better too. No time like a new year to try.

Congratulations on taking a break from alcohol and experiencing improved health! It's understandable to miss it, but your decision to not go back shows strength and self-awareness. It's unfortunate that there is social pressure to drink, but it's important to prioritize your health and well-being. Thank you for sharing your experience and raising awareness about the negative effects of alcohol.
