twitter's sins:

twitter committed many sins that hurt their ability to grow - maybe more so than the popular narratives.

One particular problem was the high Gini coefficient where
(a) certain people on the platform had huge followings (e.g being on the suggested list)
(b) the algo rewarded them with more followers

real talk given the criticism warpcast gets for the autofollow list: 

do you think the sin below is exclusive to twitter, or does it also apply to warpcast?

seems to be similar, although the power badge and type of behavior by the “popular” may be different than twitter.

be honest, even if i’m on autofollow :)

Jesse Pollock has been on the top of my recommended follows list for like two whole years and that behavior results in there being a cool kids club curated by the Farcaster team for sure. I wish I could dismiss recommendations. Not a fan of that aspect
