Third week into January and I think I have stuck to a lot of my resolutions. A main one: getting off social media. Now that I'm not doom strolling as much, I have filled my time with so much more hobbies like: 1. Restarted my Spanish lessons. 2. Taught myself the basics of Salsa dancing. On to learning to kick today! 3. Continuing to reading more. 4. Slowing down my consumption of tv shows and movies. i want the experience to be special, so no more binge watching. 5. Movement/walking everyday.

I got a new opportunity to upgrade my shelf space in the store I’m in for Happy Rudy. The feedback I got was that customers love my product and they have come back to purchase more for gifts. The store manager said that if I’m in a bigger space, I would probably do even better. This has completely made my day!! 🥹

Feeling the January lull in retail (kind of needed the mental break anyways after a great but chaotic rush for Happy Rudy in December). This is how I’m spending my extra time this month. My focus is being proactive with my work, rather than reactive: 1. Spending time with my family!!! 2. Network and meet more people in Toronto (and virtually! If you wanna chat, let me know!) Nurturing these relationships have been so much fun and I don’t see it as networking but as community building. 3. Researching grants and working on a base application for Happy Rudy. 4. Searching for a social media manager. I’ve realized that I loathe doing my social media, but it’s very important so I decided to delegate. 5. Ship out my third wholesale order. I got it over the holiday break and hope to send it by the end of the week. 6. Decide if I want to focus on D2C or wholesale in the short term (first half of 2025).

I went to my first social(?) working session yesterday and working on your venture with others is very motivating for me. I got so much done in 5 hours, while building my community. Truly invaluable!!
