gm Purple π I'm Nick from @hatsprotocol and over the last couple months I've been jamming with @noun839.eth on how to upgrade the onchain mechanisms for Purple tl;dr: giving Purple DAO onchain control of who is on the multisigs Excited to share what we've come up with so far for community feedback β a thread:

/ This was originally inspired by @noun839.eth 's cast a few months back, which sparked a series of great conversations about the structure of Purple https://warpcast.com/ccarella.eth/0x780c1e

/ When we first discussed it, it seemed like it would make more sense to start with DAO control over the signers on the Retroactive Funding Rounds multisig This is the 3/5 Safe that actually sends funds to the winners of the funding round, as decided by the DAO

/ If that works well, the tree could expand to other use cases: A) A Proactive Small Grants Council (like the original inspiration) B] Decentralizing the DAO veto (1/1 @noun839.eth -> n/m "security council") C) Individual roles for folks working on behalf of Purple D) A shared Hat-gated FID for the DAO (soonTM)

/ How it would work: 1. Attach a HatsSignerGate (audited Zodiac Module) to the existing multisig 2. Have the DAO mint revocable Signer Hats to the desired signers 3. Signer Hat wearers claim signing authority 4. DAO can revoke signing authority at any time
