people want convenience more than ownership now. subscriptions and “as a service” models give us instant access without the hassle of storing or maintaining stuff… it’s great! we traded long-term ownership for on-demand convenience.

Feature for the ones selling the service not for us.

i love my bike share service. i didn’t have to deal with finding a seller. going fwd i won’t have to deal with finding a buyer and maintenance issues

they’re taking advantage of us for real.

I'm annoyed with music and media. Netflix was great when it was just netflix. 

Now I need 8 different subscriptions to get half the content that was on Netflix 5 years ago.
