Remember: nothing stops you from writing tips now. Once the data is loaded, your tips will be validated *retroactively*.

The typical recommendation I see is to assume your tips are roughly the same (maybe 60-100%) of what they were previously.

There is a 50% safety margin built into the validation to deal with this.

2 weeks ago I've tried to create a version of the query, just using the DB, but stopped working on it as the data I was getting was not 100% same as the info on dune. I can still do it, but it will not be 100% accurate. Do you want it?

APROX_PERCENTILE is ok, replicated it. The problem was that some likes/recasts were not showing up either in my db or in dune data.

Any idea why it wasn't in alignment? Most obvious issue I can think of is that APROX_PERCENTILE quirks need to be replicated? If you can get this right perhaps you can white-label it for other tipping projects, at a fee...

Think it's more work than is necessary. Dune is spot on most of the time, and reasonably close when it's not.

Personally, I just round up since there's no slashing for over-tipping.
