i know that sarcasm is basically a part of russian language but fyi it's always better not to use irony or sarcasm in non-russian speaking communities people will read your comment and think that sanctions indeed don't work (even though the article itself points at the fact that sanctions are so bad for terrorists)

you could also be french or german i hate talking to them, they are too straight-forward something about their language when translated to english is for some reason agressive
