personally think curation will be much more important going forward. we need clients with filtering/tools to craft the feeds we want

i dont have a satisfying answer to that. likely many things will be tried and organic adoption of better solution will make them rise bottom up

group exist because they have exclusion mechanism

gated inclusion is a form of exclusion. the question is how you pull people in and push people out. most circles will have different rules to serve different purposes and it'll be messy

i can see a sub community with hard cap of people in to keep it small. to renew blood they'll need to kick people out. might be activity threshold, might be vote against or for members every once in a while etc ...

i think these communities are like cells, they have to keep fight social entropy
