Been having this discussion with some friends recently but what is y'all's takes on crypto -- does it create a hyper-capitalist state or does it disrupt capitalism?

it can disrupt it but not until people start using it as intended. really same principles as open source software or free culture. we have tools out there that could destroy systems that make shit really lame in todays mutated capitalism but corporations package centralized solutions up nicely and governments…->

I think DLT in general can and will change things and intro moments of equality opportunities that we all can chose to welcome - or fight against.
“Crypto” now on the other hand largely rebuilds the same shit that led to 2000s / 2010s “crypto” in the first place, including the same players. Sadly ironic
