This was my first time tipping on Farcaster… the night before was my first time sending someone money from TikTok (via Venmo). It’s small, but the ability to easily send people a few dollars at scale is giving me some hope for humanity. On tiktok a few days ago, I came across a video of a man explaining how an injury on his way to work led to wrongful termination and homelessness, which is frighteningly common in the US. So many people are a single accident away from losing everything. Luckily his video went viral and his gofundme has raised over 20k usd plus unknown amounts from Venmo, which could be even more. It has much easier UX for sending money, which is why I chose it over gofundme or paypal. Here’s a link to the man’s gofundme if you want to hear his story or donate: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-ryan-urabe-recover-and-rebuild-his-life And thank you @wowbestie @lani @okjose @rafa @erica @rileybeans for being here :)
