Just visited Austin and learned that a lot of COVID migrants left after the first intensely hot summer. Driving there was a nightmare too, Austin doesn’t have the infrastructure to handle a huge influx of people.

I was lucky enough to be stuck there when the grid collapsed after 6 inches of snowfall in Feb ‘21. A 3-day trip over a holiday weekend turned into an apocalyptic 8-day hellscape. ATX = no thank you.
