Every day I struggle with the mental gymnastics of wondering if good songs I find on Spotify are actually good finds or if my taste is shit and I'm just suckling on the algorithm's slop.

I read this article this morning searching for answers and I’ve come to the conclusion that my taste is still driving good music discovery but only because I actively go out of my way to use Spotify with deep intention and don’t let its generated content take over my experience.

Kind of an awful experience to have to try harder to use the app the way I want (music discovery) than for the app to simply amplify intended user behavior.

I still use Spotify but it’s one of those products where I feel like every time I open the app I’m being a/b tested, seems like the UI is constantly being changed but maybe I’m exaggerating!
